Cha Yi

I began drinking Japanese tea in high school thanks to this guy, though later came primarily to drink Chinese puer tea. I learned to serve tea while I was living in Santa Cruz, California and drinking puer at the Empty Boat.


In 2010, I travelled to Yunnan, China to see how puer tea is grown, picked, fermented, and pressed into cakes. Below is a picture of me serving tea during my travels.
